Asn.#7 Prompt:
Living without rules is called anarchy. At first glance this would seem like
the ultimate freedom. However, with absolutely no boundaries to follow, people
wouldn't complete the very essentials of life. Garbage would pile-up, and old
people would be executed for failing to to turn off their directional signals.
We all have to live by certain rules, but sometimes these can become outdated or unfair. Sometimes, in an adult forum, these issues can be addressed, modified, or even eliminated. You will prepare yourself for this forum by drafting your arguments in a clear and mature manner to convince your audience that change is needed. This persuasive essay should be five paragraphs long and your supporting detail paragraphs should follow the order of your thesis. The heading is listed below this week's schedule.

Hello families,
On February 11 all students downloaded the novel Red Kayak and were also given a reading day on March 4. Reading this novel has been the only homework since then. The book is used to teach contextual support, basically how to quote a source, and is a dominate part of this year's ELA MCAS tests scheduled for April 12+13.
Although there are 13 possible questions to answer, students will only have to complete four of their choice, and the due dates are flexible. The expectation is to complete two this week, and two next week. All class time this week and next is spent working on reading, writing, and evaluating the written answers. All students can also access the novel through the Kami Chromebook extension that will read aloud the story as students read the text.
So far your child has completed ___/ 208 pages of reading and has completed ___ of the four writing assignments. The due dates are flexible until I close my grades on April 6th. Although they are responsible for only four answers in writing, they will be tested on the entire book on April 4 or 5. Click here for the study guide
